From humble beginnings to national awards
To say we’re excited about being shortlisted for Probate Provider of the Year (South) at the British Wills & Probate Awards 2022 is something of an understatement!
When we started our Laurelo journey in 2013, awards were the farthest thing from our minds. We just wanted to create a unique person-centred probate service that offered families affordable, practical, personalised support to get through the complexities that come with the passing of a loved one. Almost a decade later, we have not only realised our own ambitions but are absolutely delighted that all our hard work has been recognised by our peers with such a prestigious nomination.
While blowing your own trumpet isn’t something that comes naturally to most of us in this part of the world, seeing the criteria we had to meet just to be placed on the shortlist has really brought home to us how far we have come and how much pride we should take in our success.
Our nomination required that we demonstrate extremely high standards of service and support, offer real benefits to clients and strategic partners, show a commitment to improving efficiency and reducing costs and a flair for innovating to develop new service offerings.
It’s something that has taken time and dedication to accomplish, as our Director, Emma Knewstub explains:
“The reason we’ve been able to build a reputation as one of the leading probate providers in the UK is all down to our incredibly accomplished and close-knit team. They are the bedrock of everything we have achieved and I really can’t sing their praises highly enough. Not only do they have years of experience and professional expertise between them but each member of the team also has the invaluable personal qualities that enable us to offer something special to our clients and vast network of strategic partners.
We’re a family-owned business, so for us probate services aren’t simply about making sure all the paperwork is perfectly squared away. It’s equally essential that we put people at the heart of what we do and show our clients that we genuinely care. That means working with empathy, making personal, face-to-face connections and offering unwavering, compassionate support at what is one of the most difficult times in someone’s life. To do that, you need the right individuals on your side. We’re already extremely proud of every member of the Laurelo team, but to have their effort, commitment and talent recognised by The British Wills & Probate Awards is the icing on the cake.
Whether we win our category or not, just being shortlisted is an honour that we hugely appreciate, especially as we have been nominated alongside some outstanding probate companies. On behalf of everyone at Laurelo, we would like to express our sincere gratitude and wish all our fellow nominees the very best of luck.”
The British Wills & Probate Awards 2022 will be held on Thursday 20th October.
