Laurelo, the national award-winning probate firm known for its compassionate, face-to-face service, has announced an expansion in the way it supports bereaved families, and those preparing for loss.

Timed with Dying Matters Awareness Week 2025, Laurelo is proud to unveil two new resources designed to support people before and after a death:

• A free Pre-Death Planner, created to help families start difficult conversations and plan practically for the future.

• A new Laurelo Aftercare site, offering ongoing support, guidance, and connection beyond probate, including legal, financial and emotional signposting.

The firm has also invested in a dedicated triage and care team trained to support callers at every stage of the journey, from the first call to final estate closure, and everything in between.

“Our clients and introducers told us they needed more than probate. They needed clarity before a death, and support long after it,” says Emma Knewstub, Co-Director of Laurelo. “So we listened. And we built something better.”

With the theme of this year’s Dying Matters Week, The Culture of Dying Matters, focusing on how different communities feel, talk about and experience death, Laurelo’s initiatives aim to break down stigma and offer real, personal help to every family, regardless of background.

“We know grief doesn’t follow a neat timeline. We also know that planning ahead isn’t morbid, it’s empowering. Our mission has always been people, not process. This is simply the next step.”
