Our office dogs, Edie, the Miniature Labradoodle and Elbie, the Black Labrador were breeds selected for their loving, kind, caring, and instinctively compassionate nature. They have a huge part to play in boosting team morale and are always around for support and to help improve our psychological wellbeing.
At Laurelo, we strive to offer a caring and empathetic service – not just to our families going through the Probate application process but also to our valued team members. Our team is the face of our business and being in the bereavement industry, their emotional wellbeing is paramount. In order to support our families at the highest level, it’s vital that they feel supported themselves – both professionally and emotionally.
Studies have shown that having dogs in the workplace can reduce Cortisol levels, the hormone linked to stress. We certainly don’t need convincing, as Edie and Elbie never fail to bring a smile to our faces – whether we’re walking them on our lunch break or taking time out to satisfy their insatiable desire for belly rubs.
In addition to canine therapy, our Operational team speak to the Field Team at least twice a week, checking in on their wellbeing. We also host frequent team events to ensure that our colleagues feel supported, motivated, and cared for – and have a forum to download and share.
