Every journey into estate planning has a story behind it, and Simon’s is one we’re proud to share.

Before stepping into the world of funeral planning and estate work, Simon spent 18 years behind the wheel as a licensed London cabbie. But it was never just about getting people from A to B. It was about conversations, connections, patience, and being the person others could trust on their journey — even if only for a short while.

In 2018, Simon decided it was time for a different kind of journey. He moved into funeral planning, driven by a deep desire to help people through some of the most difficult times in their lives. It did not take long for him to realise that while knowledge mattered, it was compassion, care, and being a good listener that truly made the difference.

Since then, Simon has expanded his work to cover general estate planning, supporting families with Wills, LPAs, and funeral plans. Through it all, one thing has remained constant: a commitment to putting people first. Not processes, not products — people.

If Simon had to sum himself up in three words, he would choose caring, good listener, and empathetic. After meeting him, we think he might be underselling himself a little.

Simon’s background, outlook, and values align perfectly with everything we stand for at Laurelo. We are genuinely excited to have him join us and to see the impact he will undoubtedly make for the families we are privileged to support.
