Supporting Bereaved Children: Why Laurelo Has Partnered with Child Bereavement UK

At Laurelo, we understand that grief doesn’t follow a neat timeline – especially for children and young people. That’s why we’re proud to announce our 2025 charity partnership with Child Bereavement UK, an organisation dedicated to helping children and families rebuild their lives after loss.

Child Bereavement UK provides vital support for children and young people (up to the age of 25) when someone important to them has died or is dying. They also support parents and families when a baby or child of any age dies. Their work extends to training professionals across education, healthcare and the voluntary sector – ensuring that those working with grieving children have the tools to offer sensitive, expert support.

This partnership means a great deal to us. It isn’t commercially linked – children don’t require probate – but emotionally, it’s very close to home. Several members of our team have been personally affected by child bereavement, and supporting this cause aligns with our values and our mission: putting families first, always.

We’re especially passionate about the work Child Bereavement UK does to promote grief education in schools, a campaign supported by John Adams. We believe that helping children understand and process death in an age-appropriate way is not just important – it’s essential.

Over the next 12 months, our team will be running a series of fundraising activities, events and awareness campaigns to support Child Bereavement UK. These will be led by our brilliant team members, Molly and Annie, and we’ll be inviting our wider Laurelo community – including introducers, clients and partners – to get involved.

We know that grief can feel isolating, particularly for children. Through this partnership, we hope to raise both funds and awareness, and ensure that no child has to navigate loss alone.
